Smart Multimedia provides both of these essential services. Our standard website hosting package is included in all our quotes for new websites. The package can also be purchased separately if required. Domain names for many top-level domains (including .com and .com.au) are available.

Smart Multimedia provides quality website hosting, which makes use of Australia's "Agile" communication network, and several fail-safe network links. All websites are hosted on up-to-date high-speed computer hardware. The following list describe the default features of our standard hosting plan:

• Disk space: 500 MB
• Data transfer: 4 GB
• Sub-domains: unlimited
• POP3 Email accounts: unlimited
• Email aliases: unlimited
• Webmail: included
• PHP & MySQL: included, up to 10 databases can be created
• CGI-BIN: included

Website hosting is charged on a yearly basis.

Domain name purchase

When you choose a domain name, we recommend you choose one of the following top-level domains (TLDs):

• .com
• .com.au
• .net
• .net.au

Other TLDs which you could consider as alternatives include:

• .org.au (must be an Australian organisation)
• .id.au (for private use, not for business use)
• .asn.au (must be an Australian association)
• .org
• .biz
• .info
• .asia
• ... and many others.
